Advent = 3 - 4 weeks
Lent = 40 days
Madness Prep = Almost 6 months!
BUT you should really start now :-)
Whether you plan to come for a day or the long weekend… it’s always better to get your plan your steps now. So here’s the top tips…
1/ Follow our ‘Socials’ for really catchy video snippets and news
2/ Point EVERYONE to the SM App. The website is good - but the App is really focused on your festival needs and info.
3/ Do the SUMS… Have you heard of the 1 penny-a-day savings challenge. This could be a great way of encouraging your young people to learn to save! If they put away 1p today then 2p tomorrow, then 3p the next day and so on.. (if you’re interested, it adds up to £667.95 in a year)
Great principle to adapt with helping your young people put money away for Madness. You could use weeks or months and/or any amount that works for your group. For example - put away just £10 in Jan, then £20 in Feb, then £30 in March and by £40 in April it’s all paid up! Just a thought - but no bad thing for young people to begin to engage with the idea of how to manage money.
